The New York Pass®
With The New York Pass® from Go City you buy days instead of attractions, anywhere from 1 to 10. Whatever you manage to see from the list in that time is paid for. Included are the four observation decks, boat tours, Big Bus, major museums, the 9/11 Museum and the Statue of Liberty ferry. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and The Met are not in the pass; you can get both with a combo ticket.

What’s included
- Everything Go City offers You get Go City’s complete New York line-up. That includes the observation decks at the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, Edge and One World Observatory, the ferry to Liberty Island and Ellis Island, and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Museums include MoMA, the American Museum of Natural History, the Guggenheim, the Whitney and the Intrepid. On top come Circle Line boat tours, Big Bus, gardens and zoos outside Manhattan and many walking and guided tours. Every single attraction is listed on the attractions page.
- Calendar days count According to Go City, the pass counts calendar days from first use. If you start a 3-day pass in the afternoon, half of the first day is already gone. You have one year from purchase to activate it.
- Sample day in Lower Manhattan An early ferry to the Statue of Liberty (about $26), then the 9/11 Museum (about $36), One World Observatory in the afternoon (about $48) and Edge in the evening (about $69). Without a pass, that comes to around $178 according to Go City. The price of the 1-day pass is shown above. Each extra day brings the price per day down noticeably.
- Not included Neither SUMMIT One Vanderbilt nor The Met is part of it. That is why Tiqets sells the New York Pass as a combo ticket with SUMMIT or with a guided Met tour. At the Empire State Building the 86th floor is included; the 102nd floor and the sunset time slot are extras you book in the app.

Reasons to skip it
- No SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and no Met.
- Calendar days count. Start late and you waste money.
- With only one big attraction a day, you pay more than you save.
- Much of the list is walking tours and smaller museums. The savings come from the expensive sights.
Who the pass suits
The New York Pass pays off if you visit three or four attractions a day and the expensive observation decks are among them. If you only set off at noon on the first day, or plan just one big sight a day, you lose money. In that case the Explorer Pass is the better choice. The price scale also shows that from the sixth day on, the price per day barely changes. For a week-long stay the longer pass is worth it, and you can plan without rushing.
